When you sign up for a Lulu account, you can create and manage your publishing projects, save your preferred shipping and billing information, and choose the types of notifications you’re most interested in receiving.

How Do I Create a Lulu Account?

To create a Lulu account:

  1. Click the profile icon in the upper right corner of the page and click Sign Up.
  2. Enter your first and last name, a valid email address (this will be your sign-in ID), your preferred currency, your preferred language, and a password you will remember.
  3. Confirm your password to make sure you entered it correctly.
  4. Let us know you are a human by clicking in the reCAPTCHA box.
  5. Read the Lulu Terms and Conditions, then click the check box to accept them.
  6. If you would like to receive Lulu coupons, announcements, news, and updates, let us know by clicking the check box. You may change this selection at any time in the future by clicking on your user name, selecting My Account, and editing your marketing preferences.
  7. Click Sign Up to create your account.
  8. To complete the process, you must confirm your email address. Go to your inbox, locate the confirmation email, and click the button to confirm your account.
  9. Upon confirming your email address, you will be signed in and returned to the Lulu.com homepage!


Personal information is stored in our secure database. We will not share it with third parties except under limited and necessary circumstances. Read Lulu's Privacy Policy to learn more.


Why Am I Unable To Verify My New Lulu Account?

For security reasons, the verification link may fail if you switch devices or browsers during the process. 


To verify your account successfully, please click the link within the email using the same device and browser you used to sign up. For example, if you began the registration on your desktop, avoid completing the verification on your phone.

If you continue to have trouble, please submit a support ticket, and our support team will be happy to help you.


Why Do I Have To Give My Email Address To Use Lulu?

Your email address is unique and is easy for you to remember. It is also your Lulu sign-in ID and will only be used to keep your publishing projects secure and to send you an order confirmation when you make purchases. Used with a Lulu password, your email also speeds up checkout.


What Should My Password Be?

When you create a password, pick something that is easy for you to remember but difficult for others to guess. A mix of upper- and lower-case letters and numbers is considered a good password.

  • Your password must be at least 6 characters and cannot contain any spaces. We suggest you use a combination of letters and numbers.
  • You can use some special characters (such as & # or _ ). You may not use < or >.
  • Passwords are case sensitive; for example, "SIGNINID," "SigninID," and "signinid" are not the same.

How Do I Login to My Account?

To log in to your account: 

1. Go to Lulu.com

2. Click on the person icon at the top right of the page

3. Select Log In to log in to your account

4. Enter your email address associated with the account and your password


How Do I Reset My Password?

To reset your password:

  1. Go to Lulu.com
  2. Click on the person icon at the top right of the page
  3. Select Log In
  4. Click on Forgot my password. Alternatively, go to this page:https://api.lulu.com/auth/realms/glasstree/login-actions/reset-credentials
  5. Enter your email address, and we will email you a link to reset your password if we have an account with the email address you entered


If you do not see the email within a few minutes, check your spam folder.


Note: If the email address is not associated to an account, you will not receive an email.


Contact our support team if you no longer have access to your email address to regain access to your account after verifying your identity.


How Do I Change My Login Data?

Your login data consists of your email address and the password you entered when creating your Lulu Account.


To change your email address or password:

  1. Sign in to your Lulu Account with your current email and password.
  2. Click on your Profile Icon > Account Settings > Click Update Sign In Information under Login Data, or click My Account > Account Settings > Update Sign In Information under Login Data.

How Do I Save My Address in My Account?

Lulu does not save your address on an account level. Your shipping address is not saved and does not need to be updated. If you saved your address in your browser, this will need to be edited in your browser settings.

 

If you have published a project, the Payee associated with the project will have your address if you selected to be paid via check. You can edit this address by revising the project, going to the Pricing & Payees step, and clicking Edit next to the payee.


How Do I Add Users to My Account?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to associate multiple email addresses with a single Lulu account. The account may only be registered to one email address.

 

If you want to enable multiple people to have access to the account, we recommend setting up a shared email address and using it to register the Lulu account. Google, Yahoo, and Outlook are some popular email providers that allow users to sign up for free. This way, each time a Lulu email is sent to “xyzauthors@xmail.com” (for example), anyone who has access to that inbox can review any communication.


How Do I Find My Projects?

To view your projects, first sign in to your Lulu account. Then, click on My Projects in the screen header.

 

To see more information about a specific project, click on its title. This will take you to the Project Overview page, where you can review your project's details.


How Do I Cancel My Account?

Canceling your account is a permanent, irreversible action. Purchases you downloaded, such as ebooks, will no longer be available to download from your account. If you have published downloadable content that has been purchased, that content will be removed from the Lulu Bookstore and will no longer be available for purchase; however, a copy will remain on our servers so that previous buyers can continue to download it from their Lulu account. Please review our Privacy Policy for more information about how Lulu collects and uses your Data.


Please Note: If you have published projects in your Lulu account, your projects will be retired. If your books are sold through Lulu’s Global Distribution network, we will notify retail sites to discontinue sales of your books.


Lulu reserves the right to continue supplying the ebooks you made available for download to purchasers who bought them prior to the cancellation of your account.


To cancel your account at this time, log in to your account and go to My Account > Account Settings. Click on Cancel Your Account. Confirm by clicking on Cancel My Account. If you have changed your mind, click on Keep My Account.

If you later wish to create a new Lulu account, you will need to use a different email address. If you wish to use the same email address used on the canceled account, you will need to create a support ticket.


What Should I Do if I Receive Spam From a Lulu Account or Suspect Other Abuse of a Lulu Account?

If a Lulu account sends you spam or if, at any time, you suspect someone is abusing a Lulu account, please bring this behavior to our attention using our Email Support Form.


Some examples of account abuse include the following:

  • Someone is accessing your account without your permission
  • Sending spam with links to Lulu storefronts or products

What Account Type Should I Select?

Your Lulu account type should reflect how you plan to use your account. This determines which types of emails you may receive from our marketing team. 


Here are the different options:

  • Personal: I use Lulu primarily to print books for my own use or as gifts.
  • Publisher: I use Lulu to publish my books and/or other creators' books, and I sell books through the Lulu Bookstore and Global Reach distribution.
  • Business: I use Lulu to print and publish books for a business for profit or as supplemental material.
  • Academic: I use Lulu to print textbooks, workbooks, or other kinds of books for educational purposes.

How Do I Change Email Settings for Lulu Communications?

There are two ways to change your email marketing preferences.


To change your email marketing options:

  1. Sign in to your Lulu.com account with your email address and password.
  2. Go to My Account > Account Settings > Scroll to Marketing Preferences or Click your User Name > Account Settings > Scroll to Marketing Preferences.
  3. Select or deselect the boxes next to the notifications you wish to receive.
  4. Marketing and Promotional Emails: Select this option if you wish to receive any marketing or promotional information, including discounts
  5. Lulu Newsletter: Select this option if you would like Lulu's Newsletter, which features publishing and writing news, author spotlights, and other information from Lulu.
  6. Click Save Changes.

How Do I Change My Account’s Preferred Currency?

Changing currencies is not something that can be done from within an account. 


Please contact our support team to request a change. They will be able to update your preferred currency in the backend for you.


How Currency Is Displayed on Lulu

Book manufacturing costs in Lulu's Pricing Calculator display based on your computer's settings and current location. The same applies when viewing prices of print books and ebooks sold in the Lulu Bookstore.


When printing books, manufacturing costs vary by country. The most accurate way to price your book is to do so in the Project Creator. There, you can view both manufacturing and retail pricing in all available currencies (USD, CAD, AUD, EUR, GBP).


What Is a Lulu Guest?

A Lulu Guest is an unregistered user. Unregistered users can access the Lulu.com site, browse the marketplace, purchase print books and ebooks, read the Lulu Knowledge Base articles, watch videos, and browse the Lulu.com blog.


You must create a Lulu account and be logged in before you can create, edit, manage, or publish a project. 


A Lulu account created after you place an order will not be linked to orders placed as a guest user under the same email address. To cancel an order from your account, you must be signed in to your account when you place the order.


Who Do I Contact Regarding Deceased Account Holders?

Please submit a ticket to the Customer Support team and attach the form found at the bottom of this article.


Why Was My Account Disabled?

If your account was disabled or removed, the material you uploaded to Lulu was in blatant disregard of our Member Agreement. Lulu only permits the distribution of your own work or work that the owner specifically granted you permission to use. Lulu will delete your content from the system if it is found to violate our Member Agreement.

It is possible that your work was reported for violating copyright or trademark laws, violating someone's right to privacy, defamation, or containing inappropriate or illegal content.


Copyright, trademark, defamation, or privacy issues must be resolved between the associated parties. For inappropriate content, it may be as simple as adding an adult content warning to return to the Bookstore. Content encouraging illegal activity is not allowed to be distributed through Lulu.
