You can choose to sell your print books and ebooks directly through Lulu. When you make a project available for sale, your work will be listed on the Lulu Bookstore!


You can also choose to sell eligible projects to major retail websites around the world by using Global Distribution.


All revenue earned through sales will be paid out using the payment and contact information saved to your account. For more information on payment methods, tax forms, and payout schedules, please see the article on Creator Revenue: The Basics.

Bookstore Search and Availability

Only books set to General Access with the Lulu Bookstore publishing goal will be searchable in the bookstore and available for anyone to purchase. If your published book is not showing up in the bookstore, you can check and update its settings using the steps below.


Checking Your Project's Access Status

  1. Log in to your Lulu account.
  2. Go to your My Projects page.
  3. Find your project. The access status (General, Select, or Private) is listed right next to your book's details.


Checking Your Project's Publishing Goals

  1. Log in to your Lulu account.
  2. Go to your My Projects page.
  3. Find your project and click Revise.
  4. On the Start step, scroll down to the Select a Goal section to see your current publishing goal.


Listing Your Project for Sale

If you need to update your goals or access settings to make your book visible, follow these steps:

  1. On the Start step, make sure you select Publish Your Book and check the box for the Lulu Bookstore.
  2. Scroll to the navigational toolbar at the top of the page and click the Review/Complete step.
  3. Scroll down to the Retail Options section.
    - Note: If you do not see this section, scroll to the very bottom and click the Confirm and Publish button first.
  4. Choose either General Access or Select Access for your book.
  5. Click the Publish to the Lulu Bookstore button located directly underneath your chosen access level.
  6. Once you've set your project's access status to Select or General Access, a product page will be created, and it will become available for sale in the Lulu Bookstore immediately.


Please Note: Access status only controls your book's visibility on the Lulu Bookstore. Changing your access status will not change or affect your Global Distribution status.
